DAY 1
Arrive in Lisbon
Arrive in Lisbon and meet your private transfer who will take you to your accommodations. Settle in and spend the day exploring on your own.

DAY 2
Lisbon City Tour
Explore the capital of Portugal’s most intriguing landmarks and highlights on this guided half-day Lisbon sightseeing tour. Delve into Lisbon’s historic Alfama quarter rich with Moorish tiled buildings and cobblestone alleyways. With your local guide, taste port at a local shop, discover city lore, and walk through the Belém district to admire the Belém Tower, the internationally acclaimed Coach Museum and the Monument to the Discoveries. And no Lisbon adventure is complete without uncovering its heritage at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Jerónimos Monastery.
DAY 3
Lisbon - Food Tour
Rise and shine! The morning is yours to sleep in but we have a fun afternoon planned for you.
Savor gourmet foods from Portugal during a 3-hour, small-group guided food and wine tour of Lisbon. Meet your guide and taste cheese, pastries, and Port; enjoy a Lisbon wine tasting from the Alentejo; and learn why this region produces some of the world’s best wine.
Following the tour, you are free to explore the beautiful city of Lisbon as you choose.
DAY 4
Sintra and Cascais Tour
See Portugal’s natural and architectural wonders on a small-group, guided tour of Sintra and Cascais from Lisbon. On this journey, experience the rich vegetation of Sintra Natural Park, the hidden trails and caves at Pena Park and the bluffs of Roca Cape. Tour the immaculate Pena National Palace and then drive along the Atlantic Coast to Cascais for a leisurely walk through town to its scenic beaches.
DAY 5
Lisbon to Lagos
After a leisurely morning and breakfast, we will say goodbye to Lisbon, for now. Your private transfer will pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the train station. You will depart by train for another Algarve treasure, the town of Lagos.
Lagos is widely known for it’s walled old town, cliffs and of course, the beaches! This historic and lively city is situated on the beautiful Western Algarve coastline. Lagos offers visitors glorious beaches, buzzing nightlife and a charming historic center, which has retained it’s traditional character and charm.
Take a taxi to your hotel, check in and begin to explore the area.

Enjoy a free day in Lagos at your leisure.
After breakfast at your hotel, you can kayak around the caves of the Algarves, or lay on the beach soaking up the Portuguese sunshine!
DAY 7
Lagos - Classic Food Tour
Knowing the best spots for a taste of local cuisine can be difficult in a new city. Discover traditional Portuguese delicacies on a classic food tour, and sample a range of dishes and drinks as you stroll the Algarvian streets for an immersive experience. Learn about Lagos’ history and culture from your guide as you explore, and avoid hidden costs with all tasters and drinks included.

Lagos – Free Day
Enjoy a free day at your leisure today in Lagos.
Perhaps you want to take a hike? There are many challenging and scenic hiking routes along the Lagos coastline. A popular route is the 4km coastal path from Porto de Mos to Praia da Luz, that climbs the towering cliffs that separate them. For the return, there is a regular bus from Praia da Luz to Lagos, so you don’t have to re-climb the cliffs again.
Or maybe you want to try your hand at surfing? Go surfing at the Porto de Mos beach, this beach has decent swells and an expansive sandy beach front.
DAY 9
Lagos – Golden Coast Cruise
Marvel at the dramatic sea cliffs, gold sand beaches, and rocky coves of Portugal’s Algarve coast on this half-day small-group catamaran cruise from Lagos. Sail past landmarks such as the Ponta da Piedade and the black rock of Praia da Luz; enjoy swimming, kayaking, or paddle boarding in Burgau bay; and tuck into a delicious lunch on-board.
DAY 10
Lagos – Cave Kayak Trip
Paddle along the stunning Algarve Coast to the Lagos Caves, spectacular rock formations in one of the most beautiful regions of Portugal. Enjoy a guided adventure to a spot only accessible by boat.

If you are wrapping up your trip to Portugal today, meet your transfer to the airport and depart according to your flight times.
If you have chosen to extend your trip to include Porto, you will travel from Lagos and continue your trip as described below.

Lagos to Porto
Meet your private transfer at your hotel this morning and head for the train station for your train to Porto.
Arrive in Porto and meet your private transfer who will take you to your accommodations. Settle in and spend the day exploring on your own.
DAY 12
Porto – City Tour
The UNESCO-listed beauty of Porto, the capital of northern Portugal, must be seen to be believed. Ensure you maximize your time in the city with this 4-hour sightseeing tour, including wine tasting and a cruise on the Douro River. In an air-conditioned coach, you’ll visit top attractions such as Porto Se Cathedral, Torres & Igreja dos Clerigos, and Avenida dos Aliados with your guide. Descend to a wine cellar to sample world-renowned Port wine and cruise beneath Porto’s famous six bridges during a boat ride. Hotel pickup and drop-off is included.
DAY 13
Porto – Douro Valley Tour
Indulge in the Douro Valley’s luxuriant food and wine culture on this full-day small-group tour of the Douro with lunch. After departing from Porto by minibus, you’ll sweep through the Douro’s winding roads as you enter the valley. With terraced vineyards on either side of you, you’ll visit esteemed wineries and the Douro’s most captivating cities: Amarante, Lamego, Régua and Pinhão, the heart of the Alto Douro. Along the way you’ll enjoy lunch and learn about the Douro’s wine programs, people and culinary heritage.
DAY 14
Porto – Free Day
Porto is a fascinating and vibrant city that is rapidly becoming one of Western Europe’s most respected tourist destinations.
There is no shortage of churches, palaces or museums to keep you busy. The Cais De Ribeira is a picturesque piazza with bars and restaurants around every corner. This is also an ideal place to get a picture of the iconic Luis I Bridge.
